Betting against I’ll Have Another has been a good way to lose money this year but horseplayers won't have to worry about that with the favored horse scratched.
The Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner was the big favorite on the Belmont Stakes odds menu, but a couple of horses have surged to the top of the morning line odds list.
Union Rags nearly went off as the favorite in the Derby and had been hyped as a possible Triple Crown candidate all winter and spring. But he struggled at Churchill Downs and skipped the Preakness, leaving him fresh and ready to ruin yet another Triple Crown bid (no horse has won since 1978’s Affirmed).

The other horse which is getting lots of early money is Dullahan. He boasts the pedigree to handle the longer track and is fresh, having also skipped the Preakness.
Bodemeister won’t run here, but stable-mate Paynter will. He is 9/1. And Street Life and Alpha both sit at 15/1 odds.
Longshot bettors have lots of lottery potential in the 11-horse field. More than half of them are currently 25/1 or longer odds on the Belmont menu at . They include three horses at 50/1 odds (Five Sixteen, Guyana Star Dweej and Ravelo’s Boy).
