Kentucky Derby 2014 Props Announced

The Kentucky Derby winner won’t win the Preakness Stakes and there certainly won’t be a Triple Crown winner in 2014.

That, according to the Kentucky Derby 2014 props announced this week courtesy of Bovada. The ‘no Triple Crown winner’ prop carries a current 1-12 pricetag, meaning $1 in profit for every $12 wagered.

The popular online racebook also posted odds on whether the race will be faster than 2:02:30, along with an emphatic ‘no’ bet on ‘Will Secretariat's Record time of 1:59.40 be broken?’ That is a -2000 prop, meaning $1 profit for every $20 wagered.

Race favorite California Chrome is a huge favorite to finish in the Top 3 at 2-3 odds. He will break from the No. 5 gate (see the latest Kentucky Derby odds here).
