Triple Crown Betting Odds

Anyone who threw $100 a few weeks ago on 2012 producing a Triple Crown Sportsbook now has a potential lottery ticket as I'll Have Another heads to Belmont June 9.

The 'no' bet on the Triple Crown odds prop was 30/1 or better and most were considering Union Rags or Bodemeister as the horses with the best shots at winning the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes.

Instead, it's I'll Have Another with two comeback wins and three weeks to rest before the longest of the three races in New York.

But after two exhausting sprints, will he have much left in the tank against horses like Dullahan and Union Rags, who skipped the Preakness?

The odds are still against him, just like as a 15/1 bet in the Derby and the second choice in Pimlico. Sportsbook posted early odds with a 1/2 line on winning the Belmont Stakes.

He won't have to contend with Bodemeister, who won't run after losing twice.

Does he have the pedigree to handle the 1.5 mile course at Belmont, after winning the sprints at Churchill Downs and Pimlico?

They are all questions which will factor into the morning line odds as well as Triple Crown and Belmont props this week.

It's been four years since a horse was in this position, after Big Brown won the first two jewels in the crown, only to pull up in the Belmont. Before him, Smarty Jones was favored but ran out of gas in Belmont, chased down by 50/1 longshot Birdstone back in 2004.

Will I'll Have Another win the 2012 Belmont Stakes?

Yes 3/2

No 1/2
