The Bulls shot 50% from the floor and Ben Gordon had 42 points and they still lost. The Bulls need better rebounding, as the Celtics won the battle of the boards, big time, 50-36. Joakim Noah and Tyrus Thomas need to hit the glass hard tonight for the Bulls to win.

The Celtics did win game two, but they need to shoot better from the charity stripe, as in the last game they only shot a FT% of 68%, as opposed to 89.7% for the Bulls. Of note, the OVER is 6-1-1 in the past 8 meetings between these teams and the Bulls have covered three straight.

For the Mavericks to take a 2-1 lead in this series they will need their star Dirk Nowitski to step up. He averaged over 25 ppg during the regular season, but in the first two games of this series he scored 19 and 14, including going 0-6 from 3-point land.

The Mavericks will have to play better defense on Tony Parker, who torched them for 38 points in game two. Mavs’ C Erick Dampier said he will put Parker on his back early in game three, but backed off his comments after talking to NBA brass. Still, the Mavs will be more physical with Parker tonight and not give him easy layups.

Tonight’s game will be the Mavericks offense against the Spurs and their stingy defense. The Mavericks also have to rebound better tonight, as in game two the Spurs out rebounded them 44-28.

L.A. Lakers at Utah Jazz - The Lakers have a 2-0 lead in this series.

The NBA odds list at Bovada for this game shows the Lakers are 1.5 point favorites with a total of 214.5.

The Jazz need to win this game tonight or this series is, pretty much, over.

Jazz C Mehmet Okur did not play in the first two games in La La land and he is a game time decision tonight. The Jazz really need his scoring and big body to defend Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, and Andrew Bynum all of which scored in double figures in game two.

The Jazz especially need to put a body on Gasol and Odom, as those two have combined for 29/39 shooting in the first two games. {URL=}Matchup report {/URL}

Overall the Jazz simply need to play better defense tonight, as in the first two games the Lakers shot 58% from the floor. In the first two games of this series the Lakers jumped out to big leads early and the Jazz cannot let that happen tonight.

Both Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer have to have big games tonight in order for the Jazz to win.

Utah is one of the toughest places to win in the league, the Jazz were 33-8 at home this season, but the Lakers had the best road record in the league (29-12).
