The Cougars finished the regular season 10-2 which included a 7-1 record in the Mountain West conference. They closed out the season with four-straight wins, but they were only 2-2 ATS during that streak. They’ll only need to win to cover the spread in the Las Vegas Bowl as a 2.5-point underdog.

The Beavers closed out the season on a sour note with a loss to rivals Oregon that cost them a shot at the Rose Bowl. Oregon State did win four of their last five games, but they were 1-3 versus ranked teams this year with losses to USC, Cincinnati and Oregon. The Beavers were also an impressive 7-1 ATS in their last eight games and head into the Las Vegas Bowl as a 2.5-point chalk.

BYU (10-2 SU, 5-7 ATS) boasted the No. 2 scoring offense in the Mountain West this season led by quarterback Max Hall. He passed for 3368 yards this season with 30 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. BYU is also dangerous on the ground, where running back Harvey Unga rushed for 1016 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Oregon State (8-4 SU, 7-4 ATS) also boast a balanced offense led by quarterback Sean Canfield and Jacquizz Rodgers. The Beavers had the No. 1 passing offense in the Pac-10 behind Canfield’s 3101 passing yards and 21 touchdowns, while Rodgers racked up 1377 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns.

It will be interesting to see how Rodgers does versus the Cougars No. 2 ranked Mountain West run defense, while Hall could be in a for a big day against a Beavers defense that struggled against the pass at times this season.
