Lindor Lifts Indians to Yet Another Runline Win

By the skin of their teeth, the Indians got another victory yesterday, extending their franchise-record winning streak to 17. Francisco Lindor’s seventh-inning home run helped the Tribe also cash a 16th runline during their run and they can grab one more this evening when they take on Jeremy Hellickson (8-8, 5.26 ERA) and the Orioles on Sunday Night Baseball.

SHARK BITES
  • The Indians are 8-1 SU and 7-2 on the runline in the last 9 games started by Trevor Bauer.
  • The total has gone OVER in the Orioles’ last 5 games that were started by Jeremy Hellickson.
  • The Orioles are 1-9 on the runline in their last 10 games.

Baltimore’s bats haven’t been up to the task of solving the puzzle that is the Indians pitching staff so far, scoring just two runs in the first pair of games this series. Trevor Bauer will give the Orioles their best chance to end Cleveland’s run but given how well he’s been hurling since the all-star break, the odds are still low.

Bauer is 8-1 in his last 10 starts with a 3.05 ERA and his interactions with Avisail Garcia in his last trip to the bump show he’s not afraid of a challenge.

Hellickson, on the other hand, has been quite subpar in his time with the O’s, giving up eight home runs in his last five starts, and makes a wager on the Indians’ runline easily justifiable tonight.
