Orioles Could Cash 17th Straight UNDER Tonight vs Blue Jays

A battle for AL East supremacy kicks off Friday night as the Orioles head to Rogers Centre to take on the Blue Jays in a matchup that always seems to produce fireworks. For the O’s, this series could be a chance to get their offence back on track and break their streak of 16 straight UNDERs.

SHARK BITES
  • The Jays are 7-3 in their last 10 games with Marco Estrada as the starting pitcher.
  • The Orioles are 1-5 in their last 6 games on the road.
  • The total has gone UNDER in 10 of the O's last 12 games with Gausman on the mound.

The Jays have had one of the most surprising starting rotations in baseball this year with Aaron Sanchez, J.A. Happ and Marco Estrada all achieving much more than they were anticipated to.

The latter of those pitchers, Estrada will get the rock for the Jays tonight and put his 2.94 ERA on the line. You pretty much know what you’re going to get from Marco: six innings of quality hurling where he gives up two or three runs. He has only given up more than three runs twice this season and has put together 13 quality starts in 17 attempts.

Kevin Gausman will take the mound for the O’s tonight and boy has he pitched well at home – too bad he won't be playing there today. Gausman owns a 4.94 ERA through 10 starts away from Camden Yards and his only two wins this season came at home.

The total tonight is nine and if the Orioles can’t figure out how to hit the ball, the Jays might have to do all that work themselves. I like Baltimore to continue their UNDER streak.
