Dominant Kluber Looks to Shut Out Cubs Again

The Fall Classic has been exactly that so far, as the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs have treated fans and sports bettors to a fantastic World Series. Game 4 gets underway in the Windy City tonight where the Cubs, who opened at -131, will look to even things up after falling behind 2-1.

Shark Bites
  • The Cubs are 5-0 in Lackey’s last five starts.
  • The Indians are 7-1 in their last eight road games.
  • The UNDER is 4-0 in Kluber’s last four starts.

Corey Kluber and John Lackey will get the nod on the bump. Kluber (3-1, 0.74 ERA) has struck out 29 batters in 24 1/3 innings of work in the postseason. The former Cy Young Award Sportsbook is starting on short rest but threw just 88 pitches in Tuesday’s dominant effort.

Lackey (0-0, 5.63) has made only two starts in the playoffs and lasted only four innings in each. The veteran hasn’t thrown since October 19, so it remains to be seen if the long period of time between starts will help or hinder his play.

Bettors who have backed the UNDER are continuing to enjoy profits in this series. The UNDER is 5-0 in the last five meetings between the clubs. For Cleveland, that’s nothing new. The Tribe have been UNDER machines in the postseason, evidenced by the UNDER hitting in 10 straight games for them.
