Camden Yards has Been Home Sweet Home for Orioles

Two of the best slugging teams in the majors will kick off an interleague series tonight as the Rockies invade Camden Yards to take on the Baltimore Orioles. Yovani Gallardo (3-2, 5.69 ERA) will take the mound for the O’s to take on Jorge De La Rosa (6-7, 6.07 ERA).

SHARK BITES
  • The Rockies are 3-7 in their last 10 games on the road.
  • The Orioles are 11-3 in their last 14 games against teams with losing records.
  • The total has gone UNDER in the Orioles' last 12 games.

The Orioles, with a 36-14 record at Camden Yards, have the best home record in all of baseball and will try to extend their lead in the AL East as they play a Rockies team that has been struggling on the road.

Gallardo has also been pretty good at home, posting a 2-0 record and a 3.54 ERA in four starts. If the O’s want the win tonight, though, they will need to give their starter some decent run support as he has given up at least two runs in every game he’s toed the rubber this year.

De La Rosa is coming off a brutal start at home in which he allowed seven earned runs on 11 hits. Jorge can’t blame Coors for his bloated ERA this year as he's also been brutal on the road, posting a 6.50 ERA in seven starts away from home.
