FedEx 400 Betting Preview

No driver on the NASCAR circuit has been more consistent than Sprint Cup Series points leader Carl Edwards this season. Edwards will be one of the favorites for a trip down Victory Lane this weekend in NASCAR betting action in the FedEx 400 at the Dover International Speedway.

Edwards failed to get by Regan Smith last weekend, but should have taken that race in Darlington. Sports Interaction has Edwards behind a couple of drivers at +600 (6/1 odds) to win at Dover this Sunday.

Edwards has eight Top-10 finishes this season – and three Top-10 finishes at Dover. A lot of bettors will be going with the steadier driver Edwards on the NASCAR betting lines for Race 11 of the season.

Defending-champion Jimmie Johnson hasn’t caught fire by his standards, but he still has a victory and sits second in the Sprint Cup Series driver standings. Johnson comes into this race as a big favorite for a victory.

Johnson won three of the last four races at Dover, and absolutely dominated by leading more than fifty percent of the laps raced. Sports Interaction has him at +400 on the FedEx 400 betting lines along with third-place driver and defending FedEx 400 winner Kyle Busch, who is also one of two drivers with a pair of victories this NASCAR season.

Matt Kenseth sits in tenth place in the driver standings, but he could be a solid darkhorse on the FedEx 400 betting lines at +1800 (18/1 odds). Kenseth has crossed the finish line inside the Top 10 in three of the last four races at Dover. He also has a win at Texas and has collected four Top-10 finishes thus far.

Tony Stewart hasn’t won a race this season despite good run after good run, and he's only finished once inside the Top 5. However, Stewart, who is seventh in the NASCAR standings, is a middle-of-the-pack wager at +1200 (12/1 odds) at Sports Interaction and he does have a victory at this event.

If you are a NASCAR bettor that’s looking for a big payday on the concrete track with Bristol similarities, than longshot Jeff Burton could be your driver - he is sitting at +2500 (25/1 odds) on the FedEx 400 betting lines for this race.

Burton may not be as outside a possibility as one might think on the NASCAR betting lines for the Monster Mile at Dover; he has one win and has been inside the Top 10 on 15 occasions.
