NASCAR Betting: Bank of America 500
Jimmie Johnson is back in the driver's seat on the NASCAR betting board as the Sprint Cup Series prepares for the Bank of America 500 on Saturday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Johnson raced to the win in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway last time out, which pushed him to within four points of leader Carl Edwards in the driver standings and up to favored status at 2/1 on the Sprint Cup Championship odds board at Bovada.
Kevin Harvick is one point back of Edwards in second place in the driver standings, and those two drivers are tied at 7/2 at Bovada to win the Sprint Cup title with six races left in the season. Harvick won the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte back in May, with Edwards ending up with a 16th-place result at that race, and Johnson finishing back in 28th place.
Brad Keselowski, 11 points back of Edwards in fourth place in the current driver standings, is at 13/2 odds at Bovada to win the Sprint Cup title right now along with Kyle Busch, who is sitting 20 points behind Edwards.
Tony Stewart (-19) is at 8/1 on the current Sprint Cup odds list at Bovada, with Kurt Busch (-16) at 12/1, Matt Kenseth (-12) at 14/1, and Jeff Gordon (-47) at 20/1. Dale Earnhardt Jr. (-43) is back at 100/1 odds, while Denny Hamlin (-79) and Ryan Newman (-54) are longshots at 250/1 odds.
Odds to Win 2011 Sprint Cup Championship at Bovada as of October 10:
Jimmie Johnson 2/1
Carl Edwards 7/2
Kevin Harvick 7/2
Brad Keselowski 13/2
Kyle Busch 13/2
