Brad Keselowski will be looking to make an impact on the NASCAR betting board this weekend as the Sprint Cup Series stages the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.
Keselowski won the STP 400 at Kansas back in June, beating Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Denny Hamlin across the finish line at that event. Jeff Gordon and Carl Edwards also picked up Top-5 results in the STP 400.
Matt Kenseth, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, and Greg Biffle also grabbed Top-10 finishes back in June at Kansas Speedway, which expanded its slate to two events a year for 2011. Kevin Harvick was 11th, Kyle Busch was 12th, and Ryan Newman ended up in 15th place.
For the past 10 years Kansas had hosted just one event per season, with Gordon, Stewart, and Biffle taking two of those checkered flags apiece. Johnson, Newman, Mark Martin, and Joe Nemechek were the other winners at Kansas Speedway.
And Johnson will be looking to pick up his second Kansas win on Sunday as he guns for the top spot in the Chase standings. The defending champ is up to fifth place in the points race after three playoff events, as he sits 13 points back of co-leaders Harvick and Edwards.
Stewart and Kurt Busch are tied at nine points behind first place, while Keselowski and Kenseth are each just a single point back of Johnson right now. Kyle Busch then trails the leaders by 15 points, with Gordon 19 points behind, and each of Earnhardt Jr. (-34), Newman (-41), and Hamlin (-68) having some work to do this weekend.
