Jeff Gordon Looking to Steal the Show at Brickyard 400

Jeff Gordon NASCAR

With three top ten finishes in his last four races, oddsmakers have Kyle Busch tabbed as a +550 favorite for this Sunday’s Combat Wounded Coalition 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, aka the Brickyard 400. Busch won this race last year and currently sits second in the Sprint Cup standings.

One of the race’s biggest storylines will be Jeff Gordon coming out of retirement to replace an injured Dale Earnhardt Jr. During his Sprint Cup career, Gordon had 93 wins, including winning this race five times — most recently in 2014. His five Brickyard 400 wins are the most ever, and he comes in at +900 — the seventh best odds on the board.

The man with the second most Brickyard 400 wins ever, Jimmie Johnson, appears to be offering good value at +700. Johnson has won this race four times since 2006, but he’s been struggling since the start of June, finishing outside of the top 10 in six straight races. He’s still fourth in the Sprint Cup standings, and based on his past success on this track, this might be the race where he gets his groove back.

If you’re looking for a longshot, Ryan Newman is your man at +6600. Newman won this race in 2013 and has had his best stretch of the season recently, with three top-eight finishes in his last four races.

Here’s the complete list of odds for Sunday’s race:
