NASCAR: Sprint All-Star Race Odds

The Sprint All-Star race goes down this Saturday night from the Charlotte Motor Speedway and the top of the odds board is about as tight as the finish at this year’s Daytona 500.

Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch — the drivers with the most Sprint Cup points — are tied as favorites as +600 at online sportsbook Bovada, with Jimmie Johnson a hair away at +650.

Johnson is a four-time winner of the race, having won in 2003, 2006, 2012 and 2013. Harvick won the race in 2007, while Kyle Busch has yet to capture the checkered flag in the race.

Last year’s winner, Denny Hamlin, comes in at +1400. Since winning the Daytona 500, Hamlin has been inconsistent with four top ten finishes along with three finishes outside of the top 30. Since 1992, Jimmie Johnson is the only back-to-back winner of the race, so history isn’t on Hamlin’s side.

If you’re a believer in momentum, then Matt Kenseth, who won last week’s race at Dover, is worth a look at +900. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver is currently sixth in the Sprint Cup standings.
