Kyle Larson is the favorite in the All-Star Race odds

NASCAR All-Star Race Odds: Larson Favored For Checkered Flag

The NASCAR All-Star Race will take place this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, marking the second straight year the track has hosted the all-star event.

An exhibition race that has been staged since 1985, the all-star race is one of the most widely anticipated NASCAR events of the year.

Twenty racers get automatic qualification while 16 others will try to gain entry through what is called the Open, a three-stage event from which four more racers qualify. The all-star race is a 125-lap event with stages of 25, 25, 25 and 50 laps.

The race has a pretty convoluted format but the Sportsbook will be handed a $1-million prize. There aren’t any NASCAR Cup Series points on the line in this race.

Kyle Larson Favored To Repeat

The NASCAR All-Star Race will be the 14th race of the season with Kyle Larson and his Chevrolet currently leading the odds to win the race at +500 after coming out on top last season in the same race in Texas.

Larson, who also won the race in 2019, currently sits in ninth place in the NASCAR standings with 376 points. He has won one race this season and finished in the top five on six occasions.

Ross Chastain (+1000)

Only Ross Chastain, also of Chevrolet, has made the top five more times than Larson. He has had seven top-five finishes and is also one of two drivers with two wins on the season.

Chastain isn’t that far behind on the odds table with +1000 on offer. He sits fifth in the NASCAR Cup Series with 402 points on board.

Chase Elliott (+800)

Chase Elliott, another Chevy driver who currently leads the standings with 475 points and has had one win and three top-five finishes, is only the third favorite to win this race with odds of +800. Elliott won the all-star race in 2020.

Kyle Busch (+750)

Kyle Busch (Toyota) is second in the odds to win the race at +750. Busch won the race in 2017 and is coming off his first win of the season. He has four top-five finishes.

William Byron (+800)

William Byron is the last of the main contenders. He’s the only racer other than Chastain with two wins this season. He has four top-five finishes and offers odds of +800.

The Sportsbook is likely going to be among this lot.

Brad Keselowski Is The Value Pick (+4000)

There are others with odds heavily against them like Brad Keselowski of Ford, who was last season’s all-star race runner-up and has come just short three times in total.

He’s in 31st place in the overall standings but has a good record in the race and with odds of +4000, if you’re looking for a real gamble, Keselowski is it.

The safest bets remain Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott, who have won this race most recently, but the all-star race Sportsbook is famously hard to pick. This should be another fantastic race with so many contenders for the big prize.
