Sprint Cup Odds: AAA Texas 500

Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski continue to jockey for position in the NASCAR standings and on the Sprint Cup Series odds as the circuit heads down to Texas Motor Speedway for the AAA Texas 500 on Sunday.

Johnson moved ahead of Keselowski in the Chase standings over the weekend with a visit to Victory Lane in the Tums Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway. Keselowski was sixth at that race and is now two points behind Johnson in the driver standings.

And that has Johnson pegged as the -150 favorite on the updated Sprint Cup championship odds at TopBet heading into this week's race, with Keselowski back at +125 on those NASCAR futures.

Kasey Kahne (+1500) and Clint Bowyer (+2000) are the second tier of contenders on that odds list, with Kahne 29 points back of Johnson in the driver standings and Bowyer 26 points behind the leader. Denny Hamlin (+7500) has fallen 49 points out of first place after ending up 33rd at Martinsville over the weekend.

Greg Biffle won the first race of the season at Texas Motor Speedway - the Samsung Mobile 500 - back in April. Johnson ended up in second place at that event, while Keselowski disappointed his supporters on the NASCAR odds at TopBet by finishing 36th.

Johnson won the Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway back in the 2007 season. Carl Edwards has taken the checkered flag at Texas a series-high three times in his Sprint Cup career - twice in 2008, and once in 2005.
