NBA Odds - Hornets Thunder

Despite a win over New Orleans earlier this season, the books have listed Oklahoma City as a 3-point road underdog in their NBA betting matchup for Friday night.

Chris Paul has never lost at home against the Thunder - winning eight straight overall. New Orleans (14-7 SU, 11-9-1 ATS) has dropped four of its previous six games, but is a sizzling 9-2 at home thus far.

Oklahoma City (15-8 SU, 10-13 ATS) has won three straight against New Orleans, and managed a cover in all three victories. That might make bettors lean in favor of at least a cover for the Thunder on the NBA odds at Sportsbook.ag.

Paul is averaging a double-double against Oklahoma City, and if he keeps up this torrid pace it could be a turnaround game for the struggling Hornets. It won’t come easy though, as trying to stop a red-hot Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook is no picnic.

15 of 21 New Orleans games have sent UNDER bettors to the payout window this season. But don’t let that cloud your judgement – four of the previous head-to-head meetings have paid out to OVER bettors. Oklahoma City has also been involved in some high-scoring games, with 16 games paying out to OVER bettors to date.

The Washington Wizards have just six wins all season, and all of them have come at home. Notching a home win as likely underdogs against the red-hot New York Knicks on Friday will be a tough chore to complete.

Amare Stoudemire will try to notch his seventh straight 30-plus game as the Knicks also look for their seventh victory in a row, and seventh consecutive on the road.

Stoudemire helped the Knicks with 34 points in a hard-fought 113-110 win over Toronto on Wednesday. New York is 11-2 ATS on the road and a cover might be the safest wager of the night. New York and Washington are involved in more games that favor OVER bettors, and their history also points toward a play in that direction.

NBA betting will heat up when the Indiana Pacers visit the Atlanta Hawks as likely underdogs Saturday night. Indiana was 10-10 SU and 11-8-1 ATS heading into the weekend, and Atlanta was 15-8 SU and 10-13 ATS before playing San Antonio on Friday night.

The Hawks have won four straight head-to-head and covered the pointspread in all four of those wins.

Indiana may not be poised to beat a better Atlanta team, but knowing the Hawks are just 2-10 ATS at home could make point spread bettors tempted for a play on the road underdog Pacers.

Totals bettors will like that neither of these teams are near the top of the league in points scored per game - and the vast majority of their games have made winners of UNDER bettors.
