Bucks vs Bulls and NBA Previews
The Bucks are, pretty much, assured a playoff spot, but they lost their big guy inside and they will be facing a desperate Bulls team at home that really needs to win or their playoff hopes are in jeopardy.
Milwaukee Bucks (42-34) at Chicago Bulls (37-39)
At time of writing Bovada does not have lines posted, but check back to them soon since they always have the earliest lines on the Net today.
On Tuesday night the Chicago Bulls host the Milwaukee Bucks in a game that is important for them to win. I say important and not vital, as they can still make the playoffs if they lose, but it will be far from easy. The Bulls trail the Toronto Raptors, who play the Cavaliers on Tuesday, by one game for the eighth and last playoff spot in the East. The Bucks are sixth spot in the East with a four game lead over Toronto with six games to play.
This season the Bulls are 22-16 at home and 39-35-2 ATS and the Bucks are 15-23 on the road and a NBA best 49-26-1 ATS.
In their last games both teams played and won on Saturday, as the Bucks beat the Phoenix Suns 107-98 and the Bulls beat the Charlotte Bobcats 96-88.
The big news in Milwaukee is bad news, as they lost leading scorer and rebounder Andrew Bogut for the season after going down with an arm injury in the Bucks last win over Phoenix. His loss will not only hurt in this game, but in the playoffs, which Milwaukee should make unless they implode in their last several games.
The Bucks are eight games under .500 this season on the road and they will be playing a Bulls’ team that is solid at home.
With Bogut out the other Bucks’ players will have to man up on Joakim Noah (10.3 ppg 10.7 rpg) and not allow him to dominate the glass.
Neither team ranks in the top 20 in the league in scoring, but each is solid on defense. However, with Bogut out the Bucks’ players of Brandon Jennings (15.6 ppg) and John Salmons (15.1 ppg) will have to hit their outside shots and have good scoring games.
Derrick Rose (20.4 ppg) has been playing well lately and will need to have a good game tonight.
Milwaukee is 22-7 ATS in their last 29 road games and Chicago is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games.
Wednesday Big Games
Boston Celtics at Toronto Raptors
Both teams are in a need of a win in this Eastern Conference match up. The Celtics trail the Atlanta Hawks by one game in the East and want to catch and move past them so they do not have to play Cleveland in the first round and Toronto is in eighth place in the East only leading ninth place Chicago by one game.
Denver Nuggets at Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder have won four straight and if they can beat the Nuggets in this game they may be able to host a first round playoff series. The Nuggets are tied for second in the West, but are tied with three teams in Utah, Dallas, and Phoenix.
Thursday Big Games
Cleveland Cavaliers at Chicago Bulls
The Cavs have already wrapped up the top seed in the East, but, as of Monday, the Bulls trail Toronto for the eighth and final playoff spot in the East.
L.A. Lakers at Denver Nuggets
The Lakers will get the top spot in the West while the Nuggets need to finish the season strong in order to host a first round playoff series.
