No Blake Griffin, No Problem for Clippers

The Chicago Bulls continue their west coast road swing with a date at the Los Angeles Clippers, who continue to record wins without star forward Blake Griffin in the lineup.

Shark Bites
  • The Bulls are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
  • The Clippers are 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games versus the Eastern Conference.
  • OVER is 8-1 in the Bulls’ last nine games on the road.

The Bulls, presently 5.5-point road pups at Sportsbook, play their second of a seven-game road trip Sunday afternoon and began the swing with a 114-91 win at the Los Angeles Lakers Thursday night. The victory was their fourth in their previous five road games overall (3-2 ATS) and at 9-11 ATS to date, they are a better wager away from home than on their own floor (9-16 ATS).

The Clippers, who began the season with that poor (by their standards) 6-7 SU record, have really started to catch fire of late. They head into Sunday’s contest fourth in the Western Conference standings with a 31-16 SU record (22-23-2 ATS) and have won 14 of 17 games without Griffin, who remains sidelined four-to-six weeks with that fractured right hand.

The Clips have covered the spread in 12 of those games sans Blake, but failed to cash as 14-point favorites against the Lakers in their last games. Bettors should take note, however, as L.A. has gone 6-0 ATS in its last six games following an ATS loss in its previous contest.
