First NBA Coach to be Fired Prop

The Washington Wizards were supposed to be playoff contenders. They haven’t looked that way so far, and their coach is now on the hot seat.

Wizards coach Randy Wittman, at 2/1, is the favorite to be the first NBA coach fired this season, according to odds released by Sportsbook on Thursday.

The Wizards lost six of their first eight games, but they have played a difficult schedule full of road games. Three of their losses have come against the Miami Heat, Brooklyn Nets, and San Antonio Spurs, all considered to be contenders.

Washington will play only its third home game of the season Saturday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. So there is reason for hope of a turnaround.

Things may actually be worse in Utah, where coach Tyrone Corbin also is feeling the effects of a boiling backside. Corbin’s Jazz own the worst record in the league, heading into Friday’s games at 1-8.
