Magic meet Heat on NBA odds
The Miami Heat will stumble into the Amway Center on Wednesday night as slight underdogs against the rival Orlando Magic.
The Magic (9-4 SU, 4-9 ATS) possess one of the league's best defenses - allowing just over 91 points per game – and are second overall in rebounding. The Heat (8-6 SU, 5-9 ATS), meanwhile, have been badly out-rebounded in their last two games, both losses.
Vince Carter (sore knee) is questionable for the game, and the team is 7-1 when he scores at least 13 points - but 2-3 when he doesn’t. If Carter sits this one out, it could tempt underdog bettors to try and make a play on the Heat.
Orlando has won four of their last five games, and with them sporting a 6-2 record at home a play on the Magic to win straight-up might be the best wager in this contest.
The Raptors (5-9 SU, 8-6 ATS) are riding a three-game win streak and look to continue their dominance over Philadelphia (3-10 SU, 6-6-1 ATS) when they host the 76ers on Wednesday. Oddsmakers believe the Raptors will continue their streak as Sportsbook.ag gives them a 5-point advantage at home.
Toronto has gone 5-1 SU at home against Philly recently, and has covered in four of its previous six contests. A Raptors win could be in the cards against the lowly 76ers, and that 5-point spread seems within reach for a cover.
Totals bettors might like this game for wagering, as the teams have seen seven of their past eight games pay out to OVER bettors.
The 12-1 San Antonio Spurs are 8-point favorites on the road at Sportsbook.ag against the 4-11 Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, and they are poised to make it six straight road victories. San Antonio has covered the spread the past three times and is undefeated in 10 straight against Minnesota.
Another interesting line on Wednesday has the Utah Jazz as 4-point favorites at Sportsbook.ag against the 11-2 New Orleans Hornets. Utah has won three straight and seven of eight at home against New Orleans.
With the Hornets' sting this year, it might be a case of the scales tipping in favour of underdog bettors in this game. The Hornets are 8-4-1 ATS and should at least keep it close to covering the slight spread against the Jazz.
Washington is 0-6 this season on the road and winless in 10 straight against the Atlanta Hawks. Wagering on the Hawks should be an easy choice, as they have also gone 7-3 ATS against the Wizards over that span.
These teams haven’t been known to light it up on the scoreboard in the past, and UNDER bettors could be enticed to make a wager here.
