NBA Betting Lines: Jazz, Heat
Utah (13-8-1 ATS) defeated Miami (9-13 ATS) in their only meeting so far this season, but they are just slight 1.5-point home favorites for Wednesday when they'll try to stop the Heat’s five-game winning streak in a busy night on NBA betting lines.
Oddsmakers at Sportsbook.ag aren’t playing heavy favorites one way or the other in this contest, as the two teams went down-to-the-wire in a thrilling 116-114 OT win for Utah last time out. The Jazz won the only game between the two last year as well - and have earned back-to-back ATS wins.
Miami is just 4-5 on the road, and have yet to win there against a winning team. Miami is 10-1 when they hold opponents to less than 90 points, but that will be a tough task against a Utah team that averages over 100 points per game. The Heat, meanwhile, are 8-2 ATS over 10 contests with Utah and a cover on the slight pointspread could be a smart wager.
These teams have traditionally paid to OVER bettors - and with oddsmakers setting the total for 189 in this contest, totals bettors will be lining up for a play on the OVER.
The resurrected Indiana Pacers look to avoid a sixth consecutive loss to Milwaukee, which is pegged as a 2-point home favorite at Sportsbook.ag. The Bucks have lost eight of 10, and are a dismal 7-13 ATS. Indiana has been a terrific pointspread bet this season, going 11-8 ATS.
Indiana and Milwaukee have been kind to UNDER bettors, going a combined 13-25 in their favor throughout this year.
Amare Stoudemire tries to reach 30 points for the sixth straight time as the New York Knicks host the lowly Toronto Raptors as 6.5-point home favorites in another interesting Wednesday night game. New York is an impressive 13-9, but against the spread they are even better at 15-6-1.
The Raptors suffered their worst defeat of the season on Monday night to Indiana, and were crushed the night before by the Knicks - and playing for the third time in four nights will make it even tougher on the 8-13 Raptors.
Orlando will be trying to end a rare two-game slide when they meet up with a Portland Trail Blazers team that is below .500 in a light night for NBA betting action Thursday.
The Magic have a solid 15-6 record, but haven’t helped pointspread bettors – who have seen them go just 8-13 ATS this season. Portland hasn’t been much better, but with a losing record an accompanying 8-9-3 ATS mark is decent.
Orlando and Portland have played each other tough over the past five matchups, with the Magic going 3-2 SU, while the teams are even at 2-2-1 ATS.
