Individual NBA Season Betting Props

Los Angeles Clippers Chris Paul

If you're looking for something other than sides and totals to wager on in the upcoming NBA campaign, online sportsbook Bovada has you covered.

The shop released some interesting prop specials on Wednesday regarding which NBA players will lead the league in assists, points, and rebounds per game. Betting on individual outcomes is tougher than ever considering the influx of young talent that's entered the league in recent years, but if you've got a solid hunch on a particular player, there's plenty of value available.

In case you've been living under a rock and haven't noticed, the Los Angeles Clippers have a ridiculously deep roster this year. That means superstar point guard Chris Paul is going to have no shortage of options to hand it off to at the one spot. It's not much of a surprise to see Paul tabbed as -200 chalk, but it's interesting to see newly acquired Sacramento Kings PG Rajon Rondo right behind him at +500. Rondo had a season to forget in 2014/15 between Boston and a forgettable brief run in Dallas, which means he's very likely going to be energized to perform in a new situation.

2015/16 NBA Assists Per Game Leader

  • Reggie Jackson +3000
  • Elfrid Payton +3000

One year removed from an injury plagued campaign that saw his team narrowly miss the playoffs, oddsmakers are expecting Oklahoma City superstar Kevin Durant to bounce back in a big way by setting him as a +150 favorite to lead the NBA in points per game this year. After Durant it's a who's who when it comes to naming the league's top offensive players, as James Harden (+225), Anthony Davis (+500), LeBron James (+650), Carmelo Anthony (+1500), and Damian Lillard (+1500) round out the top six.

The Detroit Pistons lost big man Greg Munroe to the Milwaukee Bucks in free agency, but the loss of Munroe will free up plenty of space for Andre Drummond. The sportsbook is expecting big things from Drummond this year and has made the 22-year-old a +150 fave to finish first in the Association in rebounds per game.
