NBA Power Rankings
The Miami Heat not only maintained their grip on the top of the NBA Power Rankings, but they actually strengthened it after a perfect week on the court and at the betting window.
LeBron James and the Heat took care of Orlando, Charlotte, and the Clippers last week to extend their winning streak to six games. Miami also covered the spread in all three wins and are 5-1 ATS during their current streak. The Heat beat up on the Bobcats (109-97) and the Clippers (97-79) last week, and another week of routs by LeBron and company could be on tap with Indiana and Detroit on the schedule.
The Lakers also held firm at No. 2 this week despite a loss to the Spurs and a lackluster 1-4 ATS mark in their last five games. Another surprise this week was the rise of the Orlando Magic into the Top 3.

The Magic are slumping right now with only one win in their last four games after defeats at the hands of Miami and Boston last week. Orlando also has only one ATS win in their last six games, and if that keeps up this week their rise up the rankings should stop.
The biggest riser in the ranking this week were the Pacers, who rocketed up five spots to enter the Top 10 at No. 9. Part of the Pacers' rise has to do with their strength of schedule, but they also delivered a solid week on the hardwood with four straight wins.
If the Pacers are going to keep their winning streak going they'll have to shock the Heat on Tuesday night as an underdog. They'll also have to show some stamina with a tough schedule that includes four games in five nights this week.
