NBA Week Betting: Thunder are on Roll

After opening their campaign with just three SU wins in their first 15 games, the Oklahoma City Thunder will be shooting for their sixth SU win in their last seven when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday as three-point home favorites.

The 8-13 Thunder sit a distant 12th in the NBA’s Western Conference, but have bounced back to 10/1 in NBA futures betting at Bovada after briefly slipping to 20/1.

Thursday night’s Cavs vs. Thunder betting matchup at Chesapeake Energy Arena is the first of two meetings between the two clubs this season. The Thunder are 2-4 SU in their last six home dates with Cleveland, 3-3 ATS, with the OVER going 4-2.

The Thunder visits the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night. The T-Wolves have struggled in the early going and currently sit dead last in the Western Conference, and are pegged as 1000/1 longshots in NBA futures betting at Bovada.

OKC return home on Sunday to face the slumping Phoenix Suns. Winners of just three of their last nine SU, 5-4 ATS, the 12-11 Suns are winless in their last six visits to Oklahoma City, 3-3 ATS, with the total finishing OVER in all seven meetings.

The 13-7 Cavaliers currently ride an eight-game SU winning streak and have moved to No. 8 in the NBA Power Rankings here at OddsShark.com. Cleveland travels to the Big Easy following their tilt with the Thunder for a Friday night matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Friday’s game will be the Pelicans’ second of the season against the Cavs, after dropping a 118-111 decision in Cleveland last month, failing to cover as 5.5-point road underdogs.

In other NBA action, the red-hot Los Angeles Clippers will be gunning for their 10th consecutive SU win when they travel to Washington on Friday to face the Southeast Division-leading Wizards.

Despite their current hot streak, the 15-5 Clippers have seen their futures odds tumble slightly, dropping from a strong 8/1 on opening night to sit currently at 12/1 in NBA online betting at Bovada.

The 15-6 Wizards return home following a slim 91-89 win in Orlando on Wednesday night, just their ninth road contest of the season. Washington is 5-0 SU, 3-2 ATS, in their last five at home, but just 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five home contests against the Clippers
