Odds on Green Getting Suspended

Unlike football and hockey, basketball is not a contact sport. But every now and then when tempers flare, you see players mix it up on the court. Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green took that to a new level on Sunday.

In Game 3 of his team’s Western Conference final series with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Green directly kicked OKC big man Steven Adams in the groin after getting fouled in the paint. The whistle had already blown, and it was quite clear the move did not happen by accident.

Because you can bet on nearly anything, online sportsbook Sportsbook has released a prop on whether or not Green will be suspended by the league. The YES option is currently a heavy -175 favorite, with the NO coming in at +135.

Green was assessed a flagrant one foul call after officials reviewed the incident. If the Michigan State product is forced to miss Tuesday’s Game 4, it could have dire ramifications on his team. Golden State has been outscored by 1.2 points per 100 possessions with Green on the bench during the postseason, but has outscored foes by 14.7 points per 100 possessions when he’s on the floor.

A decision on #GroinGate will likely be announced late Monday or early Tuesday. Get your bets in now.
