Suns at Lakers Game 2 Betting
After getting blown out in the series opener can the Phoenix Suns bounce back with a much-needed win tonight when they clash with the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals?
The Lakers kicked off the series with a bang on Monday, putting up big points in a 128-107 victory as a 6-point favorite at Bovada. Despite playing with a number of nagging injuries, including a bad right knee that required wearing a brace, Kobe Bryant unloaded a game-high 40 points on the Suns in the win.
Bryant was dominant, hitting 13-of-23 shots, and he really came alive in the third quarter when he scored 21 of his 40 points. Pau Gasol chipped in with 21 points for the Lakers and Lamar Odom had his best game of the postseason so far with 19 points and 19 rebounds off the bench. Overall the Lakers shot 58% in the victory and out-rebounded the smaller Suns 42-34.

Amare Stoudemire led Phoenix with 23 points, but he had a difficult night on the glass with only three rebounds. Jason Richardson added 15 points and Robin Lopez netted 14 points in the first playoff game of his career.
Out since March with a bulging disc in his back, Lopez was effective in his 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting in 24 minutes, but the seven-footer still wasn’t enough for the Suns to combat the Lakers’ big men, Gasol, Bynum and Odom. The win in Game 1 continued the Lakers’ home winning streak versus the Suns.
Los Angeles has won their last five games against Phoenix at the Staples Center while going 4-1 ATS. All but one of those games was a blowout as well, with victories by 20, 19, and 26 points. The last time the Suns defeated the Lakers in Los Angeles was January 17, 2008, and both teams looked a lot different back then.
In tonight’s matchup the Lakers are listed as a 7-point favorite. The Lakers have won their last seven games at home and they’ve posted a 4-3 mark ATS. Looking back even further the Lakers are 16-3 SU in their last 19 at home, but only 7-11-1 ATS.
