Thunder vs. Lakers Playoff Action
The Lakers are favored at home tonight against Thunder, but all the pressure is on them in Game 5, as nobody expected Oklahoma City to have any chance in this series.
Oklahoma City Thunder at L.A. Lakers
Bovada has the Lakers as 6 point favorites with a total of 193.5.
The Lakers won the first two games of this Western Conference opening round series, but after losing both games in Oklahoma City the series is now tied at two games apiece.
This season the Lakers were 37-5 at home and 34-46-2 ATS and the Thunder were 23-18 on the road and 48-34 ATS.
On Saturday night in Game 4 in Oklahoma City the Thunder crushed the defending champion Lakers 110-89.
The Lakers have a little, ok a lot, of history on their side, as they are 17-0 at home in Game 5’s when the series is tied at 2-2.
Kobe Bryant has to be happy he is at home, as he struggled in the two games in Oklahoma City. In Game 3 he did have 24 points, but Kevin Durant played great defense on him holding him to 2/10 shooting in the fourth quarter. In Game 4 Kobe tried to get the other Lakers’ more involved, as he only scored 12 points on 5/10 shooting. Kobe needs to shoulder the offensive load tonight for the Lakers to win.
The Thunder killed the Lakers on the fast break in Game 4 with 24 fast break points while the Lakers only had four. L.A. needs to get back on defense and not allow the Thunder to score easy points. L.A. has a better half court game, especially with the 7-foot duo of Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol, and if they slow the tempo of the game they should win.
The Thunder shot a lower FG% in Game 4, but had more rebounds, more offensive rebounds, and fewer turnovers.
Kevin Durant has been the MVP of this series so far and he has to have a HUGE game for the Thunder to pull off the upset tonight. He and PG Russell Westbrook have to play well tonight or the Thunder will be heading home down 3-2.
Oklahoma City is 4-1 ATS in their last five games and L.A. is 1-4 ATS in their last five games.
Other Tuesday Night Playoff Action
In the other three playoff games tonight teams can close out their respective series’ and head onto the next round.

The Cleveland Cavaliers host the Chicago Bulls and Bovada has them as big 12-point favorites with a total of 199.5. The Cavs are up 3-1 in this series and LeBron will likely take it on his shoulders and take over this game, as the Cavs want to close out the Bulls tonight.
The Dallas Mavericks host the San Antonio Spurs and Bovada has them as 5-point favorites with a total of 193. The Mavs have their backs against the wall down 3-1 in this series and need to win tonight or the Western Conference second seed will be ousted from the playoffs.
