Warriors Top Second Half Team In Playoffs

Maybe you’ve noticed - the Golden State Warriors are pretty freakin’ good during the final 24 minutes of a basketball game.

The Warriors are statistically the No. 1 second-half team in the NBA these playoffs, piling up an average of 54.6 points and they have a second-half plus-minus of 6.8.

That second number is really the one that should interest halftime and in-game bettors. It means Golden State is three possessions better than the competition throughout the postseason which is leaving the competition in the dust.

The OKC Thunder rank No. 2 in second-half plus-minus and they’re only at 3.9. Cleveland ranks third at 3.7, which is more than a 3-pointer behind the Dubs and the Cavs are also scoring more than five points fewer than the Warriors after halftime (49.3).

When you put it together, Golden State is 11-8 against the spread in the second half these playoffs. Cleveland is 10-6 ATS in the second half but has been overwhelmed after the break against Golden State statistically.
