Duke vs. Arizona for Preseason NIT

The Duke Blue Devils will hit the hardwood against the Arizona Wildcats on Friday night in the championship game of the 2013 Preseason NIT at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Duke advanced to the title game with a 74-64 win over Alabama in the semi-finals on Wednesday, while the Wildcats knocked off Drexel 66-62. Arizona beat Duke 93-77 when they last met in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament back in 2011.

Arizona will face the 6-1 Blue Devils, who own a 4-3 ATS mark on the season. In totals betting, the Wildcats are 2-4 favoring the UNDER so far this season while the Blue Devils are 4-3 favoring the OVER.

The Blue Devils were listed as -1.5-point favorites at many online sportsbooks, including Sportsbook.

The Wildcats sit at No. 3 in the current college hoops power poll here at Odds Shark, while the Blue Devils sit at No. 10 on the same chart.



Duke was a 74-64 Sportsbook in their most recent outing at home against Alabama. They covered the 8.5-point spread as favorites. Duke got 27 points from Jabari Parker en route to a 74-64 victory over Alabama on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.

Arizona won its last outing, a 66-62 result against Drexel on November 27. They failed to cover in that game as a 12.5-point favorite. The Wildcats grabbed a 66-62 win over the Dragons on Wednesday, behind a 20-point effort from Nick Johnson at Madison Square Garden.
