Bracket Odds: NIT Betting Update
March Madness odds include CBI, CIT, and NIT betting options this week as those three secondary tournaments work their way toward their quarterfinal and semifinal rounds.
The NIT will wrap up its second-round action on Monday night this week with three games on the schedule: No. 4 Middle Tennessee at No. 1 Tennessee, No. 6 Minnesota at No. 2 Miami, and No. 7 Illinois State at No. 3 Stanford.
The Volunteers, who got past Savannah State 65-51 in the first round, are listed as 5.5-point favorites over Middle Tennessee at BetOnline. The Hurricanes are 5-point favorites over Minnesota, with the Cardinal a 7.5-point favorite against Illinois State.
NIT betting then continues in its quarterfinals on March 20-21, with the semifinals of the event on March 27, and the championship game at Madison Square Garden set for March 29.
The College Basketball Invitational will stage its quarterfinals on Monday night with four games on tap at campus sites: Princeton at Pittsburgh, Butler at Pennsylvania, TCU at Oregon State, and Wyoming at Washington State.
At BetOnline Oregon State has been listed as the biggest favorite for Monday at the CBI, as they're set as 9-point chalk after bouncing Western Illinois 80-59 last week. The other three lines are Pittsburgh -8, Butler -1, and Washington State -3.
College hoops fans can then do more CBI betting in its semifinal round on March 21, with the tournament's best-of-three championship series taking place on March 26, 28, and 30.
Finally, the CollegeInsider.com Tournament will begin its quarterfinals with Rice at Oakland on Tuesday. The other three quarterfinal matchups at the CIT are set for Wednesday, with the semifinals on March 23-24, and the title game on March 28.
