Cinderella Watch: Saturday Round of 32

Only two lower seeds pulled off wins on Thursday, leaving VCU and Colorado as the contenders for the NCAA Tournament's Cinderella title set to play on Saturday's March Madness betting slate.

The Rams are making a habit of picking up unlikely wins at the Big Dance, having bounced team after team at last year's NCAA Tournament and making it all the way to the Final Four - and making loads of cash for their supporters on the betting lines.

VCU proved to be a lucrative option once again on Thursday; as a No. 12 seed they topped No. 5 Wichita State 62-59, winning as a 7-point underdog at online shops like BetOnline.

Now the Rams get a date with Indiana, the No. 4 seed in the South Region, on Saturday, and they will be the underdog once again; VCU is the lowest seed in action on the college hoops betting slate for Saturday.

The only other lower seed that managed to win on Thursday was No. 11 Colorado, which beat No. 6 UNLV in South Region action by a score of 68-64.

And bettors who watch for teams with momentum heading into March Madness were all over the Buffaloes as 6-point underdogs at 5Dimes for Thursday, as they just won the Pac-12 title last weekend.

Colorado will face No. 3 Baylor in their Round of 32 matchup.

The other 14 teams hitting the hardwood on Saturday are no worse than a No. 8 seed, and include a pair of No. 1 teams - Kentucky and Syracuse - coming off different Thursday experiences.

The Wildcats rolled over Western Kentucky in the South Region on Thursday with an 81-66 victory, while the Orange struggled in a 72-65 win over N.C. Asheville in the East Region.

Still, those outcomes proved to be the same for those wagering on the March Madness betting lines - Kentucky didn't cover a 27-point spread, and Syracuse didn't cover a 16-point spread.
