Duke Blue Devils: NCAAB Odds

Duke will be anxious to hit the hardwood after getting shocked by Florida State earlier this week, and they will look to rebound when they tip off on Saturday as big home favorites against Virginia.

The Blue Devils (15-1 SU, 7-7 ATS) score nearly 20 points more per game than Virginia (10-6 SU, 6-4 ATS), and that alone will make them popular on the college basketball betting lines at books like Bovada. The only category in which the Cavaliers lead is in points allowed per game, and that edge is  minimal.

The point spread is where a potential payoff on the Cavaliers may lie, but Duke has covered spreads of 23 and 15 at home against them in previous matchups. Virginia did cover in their last meeting, although it was a big 17-point margin.

Totals betting could favor UNDER wagers, as the two have made winners of UNDER bettors in six straight head-to-head.

As well, third-ranked Kansas (16-0, 6-7 ATS) will be home favorites in college basketball betting at places like Bovada when they play the very capable Nebraska Cornhuskers (13-3 SU, 4-4 ATS). [ Latest Odds ]

Kansas will try to keep two undefeated streaks intact for this game, not losing a game this season or in the past 10 head-to-head against Nebraska. Kansas won both matchups last season, but it was the Cornhuskers who covered against the spread in back-to-back games.

The smart money will surely be placed with the Jayhawks on the college basketball betting lines - and the pointspread will be big at home – but Kansas did cover against a 26.5-point spread earlier this month.

Nebraska will need to keep frustrating opponents with its tight defense - which allows a second-best in the nation 55 points per game - when it faces a Jayhawks team that’s tied for fourth in the nation in scoring at 84 points per game.

Totals betting could see the wagers shift in favor of the OVER, since seven of 10 made winners of OVER bettors.

Finally, Seton Hall (8-9 SU, 7-7 ATS) on paper doesn’t stand a chance when they visit Pittsburgh (16-1 SU, 5-6 ATS) to meet the fifth-ranked Panthers in another interesting college basketball betting matchup on Saturday. But, the Pirates did upset the Panthers once last season.

Pittsburgh laid a beating on Seton Hall in their last matchup and has covered the pointspread in four straight contests. This is a different season for Pittsburgh though, and they do score more and allow fewer points per game than Seton Hall.

The stars seem aligned for the Panthers to win straight up, and they have covered large spreads in the past against the Pirates. Four of the previous five games between the two teams have made winners of OVER wagers in totals betting.
