Duke Shining Under the Lights of MSG

Duke takes part in the 2K Classic being held at Madison Square Garden this weekend, a place where the Blue Devils have excelled. Duke is 26-8 at MSG under coach Mike Krzyzewski, a streak that includes wins in 18 of their last 21. Duke will kick-off the weekend tournament against the VCU Rams Friday.

Shark Bites
  • Duke freshman Brandon Ingram struggled against Kentucky, shooting just 1-for-6.
  • VCU senior Melvin Johnson has scored 73 percent of his points from beyond the arc this season.
  • Duke is 20-2 SU in their last 22 games.

If Duke wants to rebound from their loss to Kentucky, they will need Grayson Allen to get back into rhythm. In the first two games the sophomore guard shot 51 percent while averaging 27 points, but was held to just six points and shot 2-for-11 against Kentucky.

There may be a new coach at VCU, but the Rams are still generating turnovers. VCU has led the nation in forced turnovers in three of the past four seasons, and has already racked up 42 through their first two games this season.
