Old Spice Classic NCAAB Odds

NCAA basketball tournament betting continues with the 76 Classic and Old Spice Classic this week. The 76 Classic features three teams that qualified for the NCAA Tournament last year: Murray State, Oklahoma State, and UNLV.

Of that trio, Oklahoma State starts out its tourney first. At 4:30 p.m. ET on Thanksgiving Thursday, the Cowboys take on DePaul. Oklahoma State is a 10-point favorite at Bovada in this matchup. That’s no surprise considering the Cowboys are 3-0 and shooting just under 50 per cent from the field as a team.

Murray State takes on Stanford at 9:00 p.m. ET It has a loss on its record yet is still favored by 2.5 points over 3-0 Stanford at Bovada. Murray State has struggled offensively so far, averaging 65 points per game.

UNLV puts its undefeated record on the line at 11:30 p.m. ET against Tulsa. The Runnin’ Rebels are 8.5-point favorites at Bovada, whereas Bovada has the spread at nine points.

Another team to remember in the 76 Classic is Virginia Tech. The Hokies didn’t reach the NCAA Tournament last year but are actually the highest-ranked team competing in the event, having cracked the national Top 25 last week before sliding back out. The Hokies are 17.5-point favorites against CSU Northridge (2:00 p.m. ET) according to Bovada.

The Old Spice Classic should be among the most hotly contested of the early-season tournaments; five of the eight participants made the NCAA tournament last year. All eight teams play on Thanksgiving Thursday.

Texas A&M is a 6-point favorite at Bovada when it faces Boston College at noon. The Aggies are 3-0 and romping opponents by an average score of 84-56.

At 2:00 p.m. ET, Wisconsin faces Manhattan in a battle of 2-1 teams. Predictably, an obscure school like Manhattan is a huge underdog here. Bovada and most major books have stretched the spread to 20 points in favor of Wisconsin.

Notre Dame, looking strong with a 4-0 start this season, faces Georgia at 7:00 p.m. ET on Thursday. The Irish are 5.5-point favorites at Bovada; SportsBetting.ag has the spread at 6. Notre Dame should bring major offense to the table; it ranks third in the nation with 92.2 points per game.

As the country’s 21st-ranked team, Temple has to be the favorite to win the Old Spice Classic. At 9:00 p.m. ET, it battles California. The Owls are 5-point favorites at Bovada. While none of Temple’s players averages more than 13 points per game, the Owls play shutdown defense, holding opponents to 52.5 points per game and 33.3 shooting from the field.
