SEC Tournament Preview

Most of the headlines coming out of the SEC this season have centered around the Kentucky Wildcats and their roster of talented players. Freshmen studs John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins, along with head coach John Calipari, have UK on the path to Final Four glory.

The Florida Gators (-5.5) match up with the Auburn Tigers on Thursday night. Florida is one of the many bubble teams in the country and would need a strong showing in the SEC tournament to win over the selection committee. The Gators have lost three games in a row heading into Thursday but own a win over Auburn this season, defeating the Tigers 78-70 back in February.

The final first-round game features the Arkansas Razorbacks (pick) and Georgia Bulldogs. The Hogs hope freshman Marshawn Powell continues to play beyond his years and dodges the pressure of his first postseason. The first-year forward scores 15 points a night and leads the team in rebounding and blocked shots.
