2016 South Region March Madness Odds

The Kansas Jayhawks enter the NCAAB Tournament as the top team in the nation, so it should come as no surprise that they are the favorites to represent the South Region in the Final Four. It is really a two team race between Kansas and Villanova according to books.

The Jayhawks open as +130 faves with the Wildcats close behind at +275 ppe Bet365.

Kansas rides a ridiculous 14-game winning streak into March Madness, a span that has seen them defeat eight ranked teams. With so many weapons it is hard to predict who will be the Jayhawks’ best player on any given night will be, but Perry Ellis has been on-fire recently. The senior has averaged 20 points while shooting 56.7 percent over the past five games.

Villanova appeared to be cruising to the Big East title until an upset at the hands of Seton Hall knocked them off in the conference final. Despite the loss, the Wildcats still enter the tourney as winners of 12 of their past 14 games, with those two losses coming by a combined nine points.

Deep value can be had in this conference if you believe that Kansas or Villanova won’t be making the trip to Houston. Arizona has come into March relatively unnoticed by many, but features a lineup that has averaged over 80 points per game.
