Southern Conference Tournament Odds

No. 1 Davidson advanced to the Southern Conference Tournament semifinals with an 86-59 win over No. 9 Georgia Southern on Saturday night.
 
Davidson will take on No. 4 Appalachian State, who advanced with a 74-60 win over No. 12 Furman. Davidson is 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS in its last three games against Appalachian State.

No. 2 Elon and No. 3 College of Charleston will meet in the other semifinal matchup on Sunday. Elon defeated No. 10 UNC Greensboro 68-61 on Friday to advance, and Charleston defeated No. 6 Western Carolina 78-70. Charleston is 4-1 SU and ATS in its last five games against Elon.

The winner of these two semifinal games will meet in the finals of Southern Conference Tournament betting on Monday night.

No. 12 Furman was the Southern Conference’s worst team this regular season, but they upset No. 5 Samford to advance to the quarterfinals in Southern Conference Tournament betting action. Furman will face No. 4 Appalachian State on Saturday.

No. 9 Georgia Southern dispatched Wofford on Friday to set up a quarterfinal matchup against No. 1 Davidson. Davidson ended the regular season with 14 straight wins.

No. 10 UNC Greensboro kept the streak of low seeds winning rolling with a win over No. 7 Chattanooga on Friday. UNC Greensboro will face No. 2 Elon on Saturday.

No. 6 Western Carolina took care of business on Friday with a win over No. 11 The Citadel. Western Carolina will duke it out with No. 3 College of Charleston on Saturday.

Davidson is going off at -245 to win the Southern Conference Tournament, and if the regular season is any indication the South Division champions should do just that.
 
No. 1 Davidson breezed through its conference schedule with a 17-1 SU conference record en route to a 23-7 record overall. Davidson enters the tournament on a 14-0 SU and 8-6 ATS run.

No. 3 College of Charleston could be Davidson’s biggest competition down the line at +475 odds to win the Southern Conference Tournament. Charleston finished 14-4 SU in conference play (and 22-9 SU overall) but lost both of its games against Davidson.

No. 2 Elon (+800) won the North Division to earn the No. 2 seed in the tournament with a 13-5 SU conference record and a 20-10 SU overall record. Elon, College of Charleston, and Davidson were the only teams in the Southern Conference to finish the regular season with a winning record overall.

Friday’s first round kicks off with four games, starting with No. 8 Wofford (+3000) facing No. 9 Georgia Southern (+10000). Both teams finished the regular season with identical conference and overall records, and the winner will face No. 1 Davidson in the quarterfinals.

No. 5 Samford (+6000) is expected to dispatch No. 12 Furman (+30000) Friday. Furman finished with the worst conference record (3-15 SU) and overall record (6-23) in the Southern Conference. The winner of this game advances to play No. 4 Appalachian State (+2800).

No. 7 Chattanooga (+12500) had a better season than No. 10 UNC Greensboro (+8000), but UNC Greensboro has won four straight against Chattanooga including both of their matchups this season. The winner of this game will play No. 2 Elon on Saturday.

Lastly, No. 6 Western Carolina (+1500) should have no trouble advancing against No. 11 The Citadel (+50000). Western Carolina has won each of its last three games against The Citadel by double-digits. No. 3 College of Charleston awaits the winner in the quarterfinals.
