St. John's vs. Louisville Odds

St. John’s will head to Louisville as a road underdog against the Cardinals in one of many matchups in college basketball betting for Wednesday night.

St. John’s (+7.5 at Bovada) dominated the Cardinals in a 74-55 victory last season, so the Red Storm (11-5 SU, 7-8 ATS) could provide the best underdog bet of the night.

Louisville (14-3 SU, 7-4 ATS) squeaked out a win over Marquette last time out, while the Red Storm beat up on Notre Dame. The Cardinals have gone 4-1 against St. John’s in the past five games, but are just 2-5 ATS over seven meetings.

The teams do have predictably low-scoring affairs with four of the previous five head-to-head matchups sending UNDER bettors to the payout window.

Purdue (15-3 SU, 10-4 ATS) has enjoyed plenty of success against Penn State (10-7 SU, 6-7 ATS) over the years, and with a perfect record at home thus far all seems to be lining up to favor the Boilermakers in another matchup as big 13.5-point home favorites in college basketball betting at Bovada against the Nittany Lions.

Penn State is on a bit of a roll - winning two of three - and pushed top-ranked Ohio State to the limit before falling 69-66 last time out. Purdue, meanwhile, has dropped two of three - but they did run over Penn State earlier this month 83-68.

On paper Purdue dominates nearly every category - and if the Nittany Lions don’t find a way to play better defense it could be another exercise in futility. The smart money will be with the Boilermakers for this matchup. Totals betting could be ramped up on this game with the teams rewarding UNDER bettors in seven of ten head-to-head meetings.

Another interesting college basketball betting line has the No. 4 Duke Blue Devils (16-1 SU, 7-8 ATS) up against the N.C. State Wolf Pack (11-6 SU, 7-5 ATS) as a big 10-point road favorite at Bovada. Duke will be the popular betting choice among college basketball betting enthusiasts, but they haven’t exactly owned the Wolf Pack.

There is no denying the talent on the Blue Devils' roster and they are legitimate contenders to win the national title, but don’t forget it was the Wolf Pack who beat Duke by 14 points in their only meeting last season.

N.C. State has just three wins in 10 tries against Duke - but for pointspread bettors they are a good choice, covering the line in three consecutive head-to-head matchups.
