It hasn’t event been a week since Alabama captured the national championship by knocking off Texas, but already bettors and sportsbooks are talking about a repeat.

Over at they already have college football future odds up for the 2011 BCS National Championship. Headlining the BCS futures odds lists is, of course, the Alabama Crimson Tide at +300.

Not only will the Tide have a number of their offensive starters returning next season, but they’ll also be playing in a weaker SEC where teams like Florida are expected to take a step back. On offense the Crimson Tide could be even better next season with Heisman winner Mark Ingram and quarterback Greg McIlroy both returning.

The only question mark for Alabama could be on defense because their No. 2 ranked unit will need to find replacements for at least seven starters.

If for some reason Alabama does come up short in their repeat bid look for Ohio State or Oregon to take advantage.

The Buckeyes won the Big Ten last season and when you compare them alongside the rest of the conference right now they’re a heavy favorite to take the conference again. That’s one big reason Ohio State follows the Crimson Tide on the odds at +700.

Ohio State should remain strong on defense, especially with DE Cameron Heyward returning and QB Terrelle Pryor has another season to prove he still is a true contender for the Heisman.

The Ducks could be primed for a Pac-10 title repeat, especially if Pete Carroll’s exodus from USC weakens the Trojans at all. Oregon’s offense is in good hands with QB Jeremiah Masoli and RB LaMichael James both returning.

James rushed for 1546 yards as a freshman last season and we can’t wait to see what he has in store as an encore. Oregon is currently listed at +1000 to win a national title at and could prove to be a profitable choice if the cards fall in their favor next season.
