BCS National Championship Game Line
We’re just over a month away from what could be an epic BCS National Championship Game for college football fans and bettors.
All signs point to two of college football’s blue bloods, Notre Dame and Alabama, meeting in the title game on January 7 in Miami.
Sportsbook.ag opened betting on the potential epic matchup Monday night. The online shop opened Alabama as a 10.5-point favorite, but the early money was on the Fighting Irish.
“Eighty percent of the money in the past 24 hours was on Notre Dame,” Sportsbook.ag bookmanager Mike Perry told OddsShark.com, “so we moved the line down to -10.”
Notre Dame needs to win at USC on Saturday to advance to the title game. The top-ranked Irish are 6-point favorites against the Trojans, who will be without starting quarterback Matt Barkley.
Alabama needs to beat Auburn on Friday and then Georgia in the SEC Championship Game next week to advance to the title game.
Oregon, Kansas State, Florida, and even Florida State remain in the hunt, but need another wild Saturday like we experienced last week to have a legitimate shot at the National Championship Game.
