BC-Wake Forest Has One Of The Lowest Totals In History

A clash between Boston College and Wake Forest will likely receive little fanfare considering other massive games during rivalry week, but the Eagles and Demon Deacons are on the border of history. As of Friday morning, Boston College vs Wake Forest has a total of 36.0, which would tie it for the third-lowest total in our database.

There have been five games that have closed with a total of 36.0 or lower in our database, with the UNDER going 3-2, as teams in those games have combined for an average of 25.4 points per game.

Boston College actually appeared in two of those five games, with the Eagles averaging 15.0 ppg in those outings. The Eagles were involved in a game that closed at 36.0 just last week when they hosted the UConn Huskies in a contest Boston College won 30-0.

Boston College has traditionally been an UNDER machine as a defense-oriented team that struggled offensively. The Eagles have been in eight of the lowest 50 totals in our NCAAF database, with every single one of those going UNDER.

Wake Forest has been involved in its fair share of games with a low total, having played in 10 games with a closing total less than 40. In those 10 outings, the UNDER went 8-2.

Low totals are nothing new when Boston College and Wake Forest square off, as the total closed at 36.0 when the two teams met last season. That game, honestly, was awful. Boston College won 3-0 with a combined six turnovers between the Eagles and Deacons.
