College Football Week 1 Betting Trends

The Michigan State Spartans are 19-1 SU and 13-7 ATS in their last 20 games against MAC opponents. The Spartans are a big road favorite for Friday night visiting the Western Michigan Broncos.

Michigan State is an 18-point road favorite in their season opener according to the consensus lines here at OddsShark. Betting Trends Favor Baylor This Week

The SMU Mustangs are another big home underdog on Friday with a tall task at hand hosting the Baylor Bears. Baylor is a perfect 5-0 SU and ATS in its last five games against SMU including a 45-0 win at home over the Mustangs last season.

Southern Methodist was an abysmal 1-11 SU and 4-8 ATS last season and is 0-20 SU and 4-15-1 ATS in its last 20 games against Big 12 teams. Baylor is a 35.5-point road favorite in this one.

The Arkansas Razorbacks seemed to finally turn the corner back into relevancy in the SEC last season. Arkansas was competitive in virtually every game with a 10-3 ATS record and ended the year on a 4-2 SU and 5-1 ATS run. The Razorbacks have a favorable tune-up game in their season opener on Saturday as a 33-point favorite against the UTEP Miners.

UTEP is 0-6 SU and ATS over its last six games against SEC opponents and has allowed 55.2 points per game over that stretch per the OddsShark College Football Database.

Crimson Tide Profitable Against Big Ten

Alabama and Wisconsin meet at AT&T Stadium on Saturday with the Crimson Tide going off at -10.5. Recent conference trends for both teams point in Alabama's favor as the Crimson Tide are 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five games against Big Ten opponents while Wisconsin is 1-3 SU and ATS in its last four games against SEC foes.

Alabama is 8-0 SU and 3-5 ATS in its last eight games as a double-digit betting favorite.
