College Football Week 4 Betting Picks

Last week I went 6-3 with my picks and 3-1 in the big games. I’ll give a quick breakdown of the big ones again and toss out a few others I like.

Good luck.

Georgia-Ole Miss (-7, 61.5)

Ugh. Starting off with a toughie. Georgia sucks against the pass and Ole Miss is a great passing team. But they cough the ball up way too much, with the worst turnover margin in the SEC. I wasn’t expecting so much public love for the Rebels in what could be a letdown game after Alabama, but I’m going with the public.

Pick: Ole Miss

Wisconsin at Michigan State (-5, 42)

Sparty leads the Big Ten against the run and Wisconsin isn’t great at converting touchdowns in the red zone — just 53 percent this year. Wisconsin ranks third in the nation in time of possession so I’m expecting a good ol’ fashioned Big Ten helmet-cracking game here. I think Michigan State wins this one.

Pick: UNDER

Florida at Tennessee (-6.5, 43)

This one opened at 8 and bettors can’t get enough of the Gators here. That’s a little surprising considering their starting QB, Luke Del Rio, will be out. But Florida leads the nation in total defense and scoring D and I think they’ll be OK. The public is seeing the same things I am here — this is too many points and I expect a very angry game where it’s going to be tough to find the end zones.

Pick: Florida

LSU at Auburn (+3.5, 44.5)

LSU finally found a little identity on offense last week when Leonard Fournette ran for 147 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Auburn is giving up 149 yards on the ground per game and they can’t seem to find much on offense while continuing to play quarterback carousel. I see another low-scoring game here.

Pick: LSU

Arkansas at Texas A&M (-6.5, 49.5)

I love this young offensive line for the Aggies. The first unit has only given up one sack and they’ve helped create a balanced offense. Bettors think this is way too many and they’re pounding Arkansas but I think the Pigs are going to find that A&M can pass too when they try to limit them on the ground…. As you can see, there is a very chalky theme here this week with the faves for me.

Pick: A&M

Other picks:
Utah -3  vs. USC (Friday night)
Cal-Arizona State OVER 82.5
Louisville -27 at Marshall
UL Lafayette +5 at Tulane
