College Football Week 4 Expert Picks

The Auburn Tigers are mired in an 0-8 against the spread slump that includes a straight up record of just 3-5 over that stretch. Things may not get any better for the Tigers this Saturday when they host the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Auburn is a 2.5-point favorite at home according to online sportsbook Sportsbook. The Tigers have looked completely out of sync all season, and after just three games are turning away from Jeremy Johnson at quarterback and over to redshirt freshman Sean White.

White's trial-by-fire comes against a Bulldogs team that is 2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS in its last three games against Auburn and 7-2 SU and ATS in its last nine games in September. Dak Prescott should lead Mississippi State to a road upset in this one.

LOOK FOR AGGIES TO PAY OFF IN ARLINGTON

Staying in the SEC, I like Texas A&M as a 7-point favorite over Arkansas on Saturday at AT&T Stadium. Arkansas' confidence is shot after back-to-back home losses to Toledo and Texas Tech, and things won't get any easier this week in Texas against a really strong Aggies team.

Texas A&M is 3-0 SU in its last three games against Arkansas with an average margin of victory of 22.3 points per game.

Last week we got burned by Georgia Tech, but I'm getting back on that horse with the Yellow Jackets going off at -8.5 at Sportsbook on the road against Duke on Saturday. Bettors just have to tip their cap to Notre Dame's excellent defense for doing something most teams can't do; slow down Georgia Tech's outstanding offense.

Even after the loss, the Yellow Jackets are still 8-2 SU and 9-1 ATS over their last 10 games. This spread is too low for a team of this caliber.

PAC-12 PAYOUTS TO INCLUDE WASH AND ASU

Lastly, look for two Pac-12 home underdogs to cover and potentially win outright in the Washington Huskies +4 hosting the Cal Bears and the Arizona State Sun Devils +5.5 hosting the USC Trojans.

Washington is 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS in its last six games against California and should be able to score on Cal's weak defense. ASU is 5-1 ATS in its last six games against USC while the Trojans are just 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five September road games.
