College Football Week 5 Expert Picks

The Oregon Ducks are a perfect 5-0 straight up and against the spread in their last five games against the Colorado Buffaloes. The Ducks will look to bounce back from an ugly loss last week with a road win over Colorado this Saturday.

Oregon is a 7-point road favorite at Sportsbook. Last week's 62-20 home loss to Utah was certainly shocking, but it was one bad game against an excellent Utah team.

The Ducks have problems on defense, but they are still a clear cut above a team like Colorado that is an abysmal 1-18 SU and 2-16-1 ATS in its last 19 games in October. The Ducks should bounce back this week with a double-digit win.

Eastern Michigan is the Pick against lsu

The Eastern Michigan Eagles are a 44.5-point underdog Saturday on the road against the LSU Tigers. Sure, Eastern Michigan is 0-6 SU and 1-5 ATS in its last six games against SEC opponents, but only two of those losses were by more than 40 points

LSU is just 2-9 ATS in its last 11 games as a favorite of more than 40 points, and the Tigers have no reason to take this game too seriously. The Eagles offense is good enough to get a few points in garbage time and get the cover in this one.

Michigan State is 6-0 SU in its last six games against Purdue but is 0-3 ATS over the last three games in this series.

Purdue has not lost to Michigan State by more than two touchdowns in the last 10 years, and the Spartans are 0-4 ATS this season with no wins by over 20 points. Take the points on the Boilermakers as a 21.5-point dog.

Mississippi State to Cover Against Texas A&M

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are 8-0 ATS in their last eight games as the betting underdog. With a strong defense that has held Leonard Fournette and LSU to just 21 points and Auburn to only nine points this season, the Bulldogs should keep it close as a 7-point underdog at Texas A&M this Saturday.

Wrapping things up, I like Southern Miss -16 hosting North Texas. North Texas is 0-8 SU and ATS in its last eight games as a road underdog and has been a reliable fade this season at 0-3 SU and ATS.
