Johnny Manziel now Heisman favorite

Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M’s redshirt freshman phenom, is now the odds-on favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. Sportsbook.ag posted Manziel as a big 1/3 favorite to win college football’s most prestigious award. Bovada has Manziel at 2/5.

Look back at how the Heisman odds have moved this season.

Manziel would be the first freshman ever to win the Heisman Trophy. He was 2/1 last week.

Better known as Johnny Football, Manziel has passed for 3,047 yards with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also leads the Aggies in rushing with 1,114 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein, who had been the favorite for the past several weeks, fell to second after the Wildcats were upset in Baylor. Klein is at 5/2.

Notre Dame linebacker Manti Teo (4/1) and Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller (20/1) are the only other players listed at Sportsbook.ag . If Teo was to win, he would become the first defensive player to take home the award since Michigan’s Charles Woodson in 1997.
