Line Moves: College Football Week 10
Without question the biggest game of the week is LSU at Alabama, but that line has stayed pretty steady at around Alabama -5.0. There are plenty of other games on the board, including three that have seen line movements of four full points.
Here’s a look at the four games with the biggest line movements in Week 10.
Texas Tech @ Texas (from -10.0 to -14.0 at TopBet)
After topping Oklahoma as a 29-point underdog on the road, Texas Tech returned home and inexplicably lost to Iowa State 41-7 as a 15-point favorite. That loss, coupled with Texas’s 43-0 win over Kansas, has clearly given bettors plenty of incentive to bet on the Longhorns at home. Texas Tech is 3-0 SU and ATS on the road this season.
Vanderbilt @ Florida (from -9.5 to -13.5 at BetOnline)
Regardless of the fact that Vanderbilt is 3-0 ATS in their last three and Florida is 0-4 SU and ATS, early bettors bet Florida hard this week. This is likely due to the history between these two teams; Florida is 20-0 SU in their last 20 games against Vanderbilt, and have won by at least 24 in each of their last four meetings.
Tulane @ Southern Methodist (from -22.5 to -26.5 at 5Dimes)
SMU is 0-2 SU and ATS and have been outscored 65-10 in their last two games, which made this large line movement in their favor surprising. That said, those losses came on the road to tough C-USA opponents; Tulane is just 2-7 SU and ATS this season. Still, the Green Wave are 6-3 SU and ATS in their last nine games against SMU.
North Carolina @ North Carolina State (from +6.0 to +3.5 at Bovada)
In another line movement based more on recent history than recent form, early bettors were quick to take the points on NC State despite the fact that the Wolfpack were coming off of a shutout loss to Florida State. North Carolina State is 4-0 SU and ATS in their last four games against North Carolina, and were underdogs in three of those games.
