You May Want To Take The UNDER In Quick Lane Bowl

Two of the worst offenses in the country clash when Maryland and Boston College meet in the Quick Lane Bowl. The Terrapins are 93rd in offensive yards and 94th in points, while the Eagles are even worse with their offense ranking 127th in yards and 119th in points.

Shark Bites
  • Maryland is 2-7 SU in its last 9 games against Boston College.
  • Boston College is 0-6 SU in its last 6 bowl games.
  • Maryland is 3-16 ATS in its last 19 games after a win.

There isn’t exactly a lot to gush about when you’re talking about Maryland’s offense but quarterback Perry Hills is as close as you get. Hills has been incredibly efficient when he does play, completing 66 percent of his passes. The senior missed two games and left early for four others.

The Terps defense has only been marginally better than the offense, as they sit 80th in yards allowed and 71st in points allowed. Maryland has actually been respectable at stopping the pass but is terrible at stopping the run. The Terps are giving up 217.9 rushing yards per game and have allowed opponents to run for 30 touchdowns.

Boston College legitimately has one of the worst offenses in the country. The less said about it, the better.

BC’s penetrating defense has been hounding opponents all season, as the squad is 10th in the nation in sacks. Harold Landry set a school record with 15.0 sacks, which also ties him for the national lead. On top of that, he also leads the nation with seven forced fumbles.
