Numbers Say Double Digit College Faves Pay Off In Week 1

One of the long time assumptions in sports betting is that the big-money players love to take big underdogs. And that can often be the case. But when it comes to Week 1 in college football, the data shows you may want to go a different way.

Our numbers show that double digit favorites have actually turned a profit when it comes to covering the spread over the last five years and the last 10 years.

The OVER has also been your friend in wagering in these games too and it’s something you may want to keep in mind heading into the first week of college action.

Note that early action on Alabama, Oklahoma and LSU moved all those teams to even bigger double-digit faves as of Friday in three of the biggest games of the weekend. Point is, you don't always want to assume the big money is blindly on the double digit dog.

Here's a complete list of the latest college odds if you need a refresher on who the double digit faves are this weekend.
