NFL Gameday LIVE betting

We'll be here all afternoon providing you the latest NFL injury updates, big performances, bad performances and what it means for your bets.

4:53 EST – Favorites don’t pay off in early action – The Favorites weren’t kind to bettors in early Week 13 action with a 5-5 ATS record. The biggest loser of the day has to be Pittsburgh, who lost to the Raiders as a 14.5-point favorite. Pittsburgh has lost to both Oakland and Kansas City this season and could be in danger of missing the post season at 6-6.

4:52 EST – Saints escape huge scare – New Orleans barely got past Washington after a Garrett Hartley field goal. What a huge comeback. Too bad they still didn’t cover the 8-point spread.

4:30 EST – Saints and Redskins headed to OT – The Saints pulled off a huge comeback in the fourth quarter and their drive foe perfection is still alive heading into OT versus the Redskins. There’s no way New Orleans can cover the 8-point spread now.

4:13 EST – Dolphins shock Patriots – The AFC East got a lot more interesting today after the Dolphins upset the Patriots 22-21 as a 5-point home underdog. I’ll bet a lot of money was lost on this one.

4:06 EST – Raiders do it! – The Raiders score a miraculous touchdown with nine seconds remaining to take a 27-24 lead on Pittsburgh. What a shocking upset this one is!

4:00 EST – The back and forth continues – A Ben Roehthlisberger TD give the Steelers the lead, but they won’t cover 14.5 points, up 24-20. Oakland still have some time to get a winning score.

3:43 EST – Oakland responds quickly – The Raiders weren’t down long. Bruce Gradkowski unloads a 75-yard TD pass to Louis Murphy and the Raiders are back on top 20-17. It’s madness in Pittsburgh today!

3:39 EST – Steelers claw their way back – After a Rashard Mendenhall TD run the Steelers reclaimed the lead from Oakland 17-13. Pittsburgh still needs 11 more points to cover 14.5 points.

3:37 EST – Vick gets another TD – Michael Vick threw a TD pass to Brent Celek and the Eagles are cruising past Atlanta 34-0.

3:19 EST – Redskins cooking up an upset? – The Saints unbeaten season could go up in smoke, as they trail Washington 27-17 with eight minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Any bettors who took the Saints as an 8-point favorite can probably kiss their money good-bye.

3:42 EST – Oakland ahead of Pittsburgh – Could another upset be on the horizon in Pittsburgh. After a Bruce Gradkowski TD pass the Raiders are up 13-10 as a 14.5-point underdog. There’s no way the Steelers are covering this game and SU loss could kill their playoff chances.

3:12 EST – Dolphins cut into Patriots lead – After a field goal and TD pass from Chad Henne, Miami is back in it and trails New England 21-19. New England is a 5-point favorite at Bovada and could be headed for an upset.

3:02 EST – Merriman is OUT – The late game inactive lists are starting to pour in and Shawne Merriman is listed as inactive for San Diego. The Chargers do have an easy matchup versus the Browns as a 14-point favorite so maybe it is smart to give him some rest.

2:58 EST – Vick score in return to Atlanta – Michael Vick has his first TD in a Philadelphia uniform on a five-yard run and Philly leads 20-0. This one looks to be over with the Atlanta offense being totally contined.

2:49 EST – Patriots come out firing – New England started the second half with a bang, as Tom Brady and Sam Aiken hook up for an 81-yard TD. New England leads 21-10 and could be on their was to covering five points.

2:30 EST – Halftime not pretty for favorites – The favorites aren’t getting it done for bettors at halftime, with only four of them covering the spread right now. Here’s how it looks

Chicago up 10-3 (-9)
Houston down 20-7 (-1.5)
New England up 14-10 (-5)
Denver up 14-6 (-6)
Cincinnati up 17-7 (-13.5)
Pittsburgh up 10-6 (-14.5)
Philadelphia up 13-0 (-4)
Indianapolis up 24-10 (-6)
Carolina up 10-6 (-3.5)
New Orleans tied 17-10 (-8)

2:21 EST – Colts pounding Titans – Indianapolis lead 21-3 and Tennessee is in big trouble right now. At least the injury to Vince Young was minor, as he’s returning to the field to try and get something going.

2:19 EST – Washington giving the Saints all they got – Jason Campbell just led an impressive drive down the field, ending with a touchdown pass to Devin Thomas to give Washington a 17-10 lead. The Saints haven’t found their offensive and an upset is definitely possible right now.

2:12 EST – Vince Young hurt – Kerry Collins is warming up on the sidelines after Vince Young went down with what appears to be a knee injury. More updates as they become available.

2:10 EST – Saints strike back – The Redskins early lead is gone after Drew Brees hit Marques Colston on a 40-yard touchdown pass. The Saints and Redskins are tied 10-10 and New Orleans needs to keep it up to cover the 8-point spread.

2:05 EST – Schaub’s back – After missing a good chunk of the first half, Matt Schaub returned with seven minutes to go in the half. The injury was to Schaub’s non-throwing shoulder so he could be alright and the Texans desperately need him down 17-0.

2:02 EST – Steelers can’t pull away – The Steelers are a 14.5-point favorite against the Raiders today, but they won’t cover if they don’t pick it up. Pittsburgh only leads Oakland 10-6 and need a big surge in the second half.

1:45 EST – Jags roaring – David Garrard tosses a perfect 35-yarrd TD strike to Nate Hughes and the Jaguars lead Houston 10-0. An upset looks to brewing Jacksonville.

1:34 EST – Stafford hooks up with Johnson – The Lions have taken a 7-0 lead over the Bengals after a 54yard TD toss from Matt Stafford to Calvin Johnson. Cincinnati needs to strike back quick if they’re going to cover 13.5 points.

1:23 EST – Eagles taking it to the Falcons – After an early field goal the Eagles turned a Falcons turnover into a Donvoan McNabb TD pass to take a 10-0 lead. With their offense shorthanded the Falcons could be headed for a big loss.

1:21 EST – Redskins take lead early on – After shutting down the Saints on their first drive Washington strikes quickly with a Jason Campbell TD pass to Fred Davis. The ‘Skins lead 7-0, but there’s still plenty of game left.

1:18 EST – Schaub headed to locker room – The Texans could be in big trouble after QB Matt Schaub left the game with what looks like either an arm or shoulder injury. Rex Grossman took his place and immediately threw a pick in his first series. Anyone who took the Jags as a 1.5-point dog is looking good right now.

1:15 EST – Bears on top early – Matt Forte made up for an early fumble with a short TD run to give the Bears a 7-0 lead on St. Louis.

1:11 EST – Colts strike quick – It took the colts only a few minutes to march down the field and run Joseph Addai into the end zone. Indy leads 7-0 and could be on their way to covering 6-points versus Tennessee.

1:09 EST – Brady’s finger all right so far – Tom Brady’s finger isn’t a concern so far, as he’s hit Randy Moss with a 58-yards touchdown pass to give the Patriots a 7-0 lead.

1:00 EST – Kickoff!! – Good luck with your picks

12:50 EST – Warner expected to start – In late action news, Kurt Warner is expected to start for Arizona after missing last week’s game due to a concussion. Considering how dormant the Cardinals offense was last week this is great news for Arizona.

12:20 EST – Jaguars big guns both active – Maurice Jones-Drew and Mike Sims-Walker are both active as expected for Jacksonville today. Will both listed as probable there really was no chance either was going to miss today’s important matchup with Houston.

12:08 EST – Slaton is OUT – Steve Slaton won’t be on the field for Houston today in a must-win game against Tennessee. That leaves the rushing duties to Chris Brown, which could mean a lot of passing for Matt Schaub. The Texans are 1-point favorite at Bovada after starting the week as a pick’em

12:05 EST – Brown inactive for Indy – Not surprisingly Donald Brown is inactive for the Colts today as they go up against the red-hot Titans. Joseph Addai will be the primary back once again as the Colts look to cover as a 6-point favorite at Bovada

Miami is 2-8 ATS in the last 10 at home

11:51 EST – Bush will play – He may not start with Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell also a go today, but Bush is active today for the Saints. Considering the Saints may limit Bush’s touches this may not mean too much as New Orleans look to go to 12-0.

11:48 EST – Jackson is a go – Steven Jackson may not have practiced during the week, but he’ll start for the Rams today versus Chicago. Let’s see how well Jackson’s back hold up in the frigid Chicago temperatures.

11:37 EST – Panthers offense banged up – With DeAngelo Williams officially out that leaves the Panthers missing their starting running back and starting QB with Matt Moore starting in place of Jake Delhomme. The Panthers are still a 4-point favorite vs. the Buccaneers at Bovada

11:26 EST – It’s not looking good for Williams – The chances of DeAngelo Williams playing today aren’t looking good according to reports out of Carolina. Williams isn’t on the field for warm up which could mean he’s not playing today. If that happens Jonathan Stewart would carry the load.**Update** It’s official Williams is inactive.

11:17 EST – Turner OUT? – The latest news out of Atlanta says that Michael Turner is inactive for Atlanta. That’s no surprise and was expected after Turner missed practice all week. With both Turner and Matt Ryan sidelined the Falcons are a 4.5-point home dog against Philly at Bovada

11:14 EST – Brady ready to go – Tom Brady reportedly injured a finger in practice on Friday, but it won’t impact him today according to the Patriots. We all know how truthful Bill Belichick and his staff have been in the past, so this one could be worth watching New England listed as a 4.5-point road favorite at Bovada

11:10 EST – Early injury watch – These guys all showed up on the injury report this week, so look out for them when the inactives lists start rolling in …

Reggie Bush (knee)
Steven Jackson (back)
Michael Turner (ankle)
Roddy White (knee)
DeAngelo Williams (ankle)
